Day 23 (01/23)

so i went to clinicals all hyped up on double-shot. i love that shit!!!!!! yes. we only had 8 dumb spays and neuters today so it was pretty slow. somethin was goin on so we didn't even start until 2 hours after i got there, so i basically just set up surgery, helped medicate some dogs, and played with this thing until we were ready to start surgeries!!! ahhhh her name is scarlet and she was found with a rubber band triple tied around the base of her tail, which was barely hanging off by a piece of skin. u truly don't know how cruel humans can be until you see cases like these

once surgeries started it was a pretty basic day. i held off for more of my own blood draws and i'm getting SO much better at intubation hehehehehe. it was 2 staff members' birthdays today so someone brought carne adovada burritos from golden pride. good thing too cause i didn't even have breakfast. pretty good day. i wouldn't mind working there

i went to school afterwards and started studying for our quiz with steve. ended up getting 10/10!!! it was bird restraint day so one of the students that had graduated last year showed up with her 7 cockatoos. tbh, i love birds. but cockatoos are not ok. nope. i watched one tear flesh off one of my cohort's finger today. his fault but still, no thanks. they're really sweet to each other tho

after witnessing the carnage i didn't even wanna touch them so i stayed in the back with mikaela and cici. also where the heater was. because it was 20 degrees in that classroom and fuck that, my fingers are already torn up as it is.

sigggh so yeah then mikaela and jess came over with me to my place to watch glee. we watched 3 episodes. u know what. idek. i can't believe how annoying mercedes was. mikaela brought me my christmas presents!! hell yeah. liam when he was like 16. but zayn is on that purple gel pen so it's all good. liam was still a qt

they left because i didn't have any food and they were hungry. hahaha i'm such a bad hostess. alex just buys ingredients because he actually makes stuff for me. so i don't really have any snacks except for hot cheetos, duhhh! and of course that shit is gonna be gone in 30 minutes after purchase

so yeah. alex just came home and now we're gonna watch lady killers and eat pizza because he came home with both, heeeeell yeeeeeah
