well i had clinicals again. i only stayed for 4 hours this time but still was able to be present for all the surgeries. i also had to set up all the sick animal's medications and administer them to all the kennel dogs and cats. that's like 20 or so dogs and cats!!!!! shelter medicine!!!!! so i made rounds and gave a bunch of oral medications and some injections.
i induced some dogs with IV injections for the first time today!!! i'm used to IM induction agents in private practices so it was kinda cool. gave a bunch of rabies vaccines and microchips and intubated a bunch and scrubbed and wow i hate shaving for neuters!!!! hung out with a lot of puppies as they were waking up for surgery...and yeeeah. there was a lil siamese kitten named topaz that was just the cutest flippin thing ever
anyways. afterwards i drove to school and got some green chile cheese fries on the way from twisters. ate those and played pokemon while i waited for class to start. it was a rabbit lab. so we got a 3 hour lecture on the care of rabbits and then gave physical exams to rabbits in the last hour. we sexed them (mikaela and donna rae and cici all thought our rabbit was a girl but I WAS RIGHT IT WAS A BOY), we checked their ears, malocclusion on their teeth, their eyes, heart rate, temperature, gave oral medications, and cleaned out their anal glands. this was mine & mikaela's patient for the day!!!

he was perfectly healthy everywhere. our perfect lil bun bun. u can imagine my allergies after the lab.
after school i drove home and alex and i laid in bed so i could rest my eyes for a lil bit. when we woke up we left and alex dropped me off at this house mikaela is house sitting to watch glee while he went to his friend's place. some bigass house. rich people. they had all sorts of food. THEY HAD IZZE i haven't had that since high school!!!! apparently her friend's grandpa owns trojan condoms. afterwards i had some heart sprinkles. drove home with jess, and now alex and i are gonna catch up on some TV shows
see, i do have a life sometimes
i have to wake up at 5am tomorrow. bye
